Judging Night 14/03/23 @DeMolay 7PM

DATE: 14/03/2023
TIME: 7:00PM
Subject: High Key
Set Subject Guidelines: An image which consists of light tones only, with the exception that some small area may be black or near black.
Judge: Barry Whisson
Join Zoom Meeting
https://us06web.zoom.us/j/99285901931?pwd=L2pCbitxWGdZSGx1YXBSQTZTMElsZz09

Meeting ID: 992 8590 1931
Passcode: q8X1Yw

Set Subject SCAPES Images due tonight
Guidelines: A pictorial representation of land, sea, seashore, or urban environments that captures the aesthetic appeal of these outdoor settings. It brings the viewer into the scenery and perfectly captures the setting, mood, and feeling in the location. It can focus on wide-angle shots of landforms, rivers, estuaries, seas, seashores, city skylines, streetscapes and the like. It may also involve closer shots of features of these environments. If humans or animals are in the image, they should not be the main foci, but rather be intentionally present to give a sense of scale to the image
Judge: Allan Rosser

Invitation to Twilight Tour 16/02/2023 @5:30pm Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery

Hi All,

I have just received an email from the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery inviting TPS to attend a Twilight Tour.

The title of the tour is “The Architecture of Waiting” by Simon Cuthbert from Tasmania.

Below is the information I have been provided:
I am writing on behalf of the Gallery team to invite you and your members to a Twilight Tour tomorrow evening (Thursday 16 Feb at 5.30pm) of The Architecture of Waiting by Tasmanian-based Photographer Simon Cuthbert. Simon Cuthbert will be in conversation with Evan Hollis and discuss his interest in social documentary photography.

Simon has connections with Toowoomba and we have paired his exhibition with a beautiful show honouring Graham Burstow OAM.

Both exhibitions close Sunday 26 February.
