December 2017 Competition – Open for Entries
The entries for our December 2017 competition are due, with the next club meeting on Tuesday, the 12th of December.
Please log in and upload the December competition images using the TPS MyPhotoClub website at www.tpsinc.org.au. A video showing how to upload images is on the website here . You must upload your images by Midnight Saturday 25th November.
Prints should be lodged with Murray’s Art & Framing, 485 Ruthven St by Midday Saturday 25th November. You should also upload digital files of your prints to the website – this enables judging comments and scores to be assigned to prints and aggregate totals automatically calculated. A video showing how to upload these digital copies of your prints is on the website here . You must upload your images by Midnight Saturday 25th November.
There are two Set Subjects for December
- “Music”
- “Broken, Bent or Busted”
This, together with the Open & Field Day categories, should provide a challenge! Note that there is a limit of 3 images in total per member per month.
Note the Maximum Image size that can be uploaded is 2000 pixels on the longest side, and a file size of 1000 kilobytes. If your images do not meet these specifications they cannot be uploaded. Name your files with the title of the image – there is no need to add details of the section being entered or your name (but please ensure you select the correct section for your uploaded images).

November 2017 Alice Black Award – “No caption required” by REDACTED
To perpetuate the memory of our late member Alice Black, the club has introduced the ‘Alice Black Memorial Trophy’ to be contested each year on a perpetual basis.

TPS Club Meeting – 14 November 2017
Our next club meeting is at 7:00pm this coming Tuesday, 14th November 2017. There have been 118 images submitted by 40 club members for our November 2017 Aggregate Competition which will be judged this evening by Tryg Helander.
Our Set Subject for this month is “No caption required”.
We look forward to catching up with you all this evening.

Field Day – Nighttime Toowoomba Walk
Thursday 19 October, 6pm for 6:30pm, Neil Street carpark opposite back of Police station (near Wonderley and Hall Solicitors).
Photographing night scenes in Toowoomba.
Bring; camera, tripod, cable/trigger, flash/torch…whatever you’d like to play with long exposure.

Photography Exhibition – Tim Dunn
Tim Dunn, one of our Toowoomba Photographic Society members has an exhibition of his work on display at the CUA Toowoomba Community Hub from the the 9th to 13th October 2017. The CUA Toowoomba Community Hub is located in the Walton Stores Precinct on Ruthven St.
