The next TPS Skills Night is on Friday, 22 September 2017 at 7:00pm. For this month the Image Challenge is “Music”. Please send up to five images for this Challenge, together with up to five images for the Field Day and five for the Favourites to be included in the Skills Night audio-visual to me at graham_harris@westnet.com.au by 6:00pm on Thursday 21st September 2017.

August 2017 Alice Black Award – “My Ray of Sunshine” by Katrina Lynn
To perpetuate the memory of our late member Alice Black, the club has introduced the ‘Alice Black Memorial Trophy’ to be contested each year on a perpetual basis.

TPS Members can now access the image galleries for the August 2017 competition by selecting the Competition link from the Members option on the menu bar at our website. On the page that appears you can choose either the August A Grade or August B Grade links to view the competition entries, their scores and comments from the judging. You can also enter your own comments.

TPS Club Meeting – Tuesday, 8 August 2017
Our first club meeting for the new competition year is at 7:00pm this coming Tuesday, 8th August 2017. There have been 120 images submitted by club members for our August 2017 Aggregate Competition which will be judged this evening by Graham Harris.
Our Set Subjects for this month have been:

- Joy of Life

TPS Nature Field Day – 13th August 2017
The next Toowoomba Photographic Society Field Day is being held in conjunction with the Toowoomba Field Naturalist Club on Sunday, 13th August 2017. On this field day we will visit two properties in the Kingsthorpe District. The sites provide plenty of photographic opportunities – rural scenery, birdlife, native vegetation and aboriginal scar trees to name a few.
