The TPS Field Day planned for tomorrow – Saturday 18 October 2024 – is all go. We have 10 registrants for the field day which will start at 9:00am at Gleneden Farm (375 North Branch Road, Maryvale). Takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to reach the destination from Toowoomba.
A morning tea of scones, tea and coffee is being provided at 10am – please bring $10 cash per person to pay for the field day. We will be able to walk around the farm and photograph all morning. I have suggested an end time of 12:30pm.
It will be reasonably warm tomorrow – the forecast is partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower in the morning and afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm in the morning and afternoon. Winds north to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h shifting southwesterly 25 to 40 km/h in the late morning and early afternoon then tending south to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 16 and 21 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 30s.
Remember to bring water, hat, sunscreen and lunch if you intend following up the field day with other photographic opportunities in that district – for example Glengallan House, Goomburra Forest, the Downs Explorer Clifton-Greenmount departing Clifton at 12noon.
