TPS Club Meeting – 10th April 2018
Our next club meeting is at 7:00pm this coming Tuesday, 10th April 2018. There have been 106 images submitted by 36 club members for our April 2018 Aggregate Competition which will be judged this evening by Elizabeth Kodela, EFIAP/b, FAPS, GPU2CR, PSQA.
There are two Set Subject for this month:
- Cityscape
- People

Return of 2016-17 Trophies
As we near the end of the 2017-18 Competition Year we ask recipients of our perpetual trophies last year to return these to the club at our next TPS Club Meeting. This will enable preparation for the 2017-18 awards to begin.

TPS Skills Night – 27 March 2018
Our next TPS Skills Night is on next Tuesday, 27 March 2018 at 7:00pm. This month we’ll look more closely at the importance of composition in photography.
For this month the Image Challenge is “Wasted”. Please send up to five images for this Challenge, together with up to five images for the Field Day and five for the Favourites to be included in the Skills Night audio-visual to me at graham_harris@westnet.com.au by 6:00pm on Monday 26th March 2018.

Alice Black Award – March 2018 – “Erny” by Mick Jones
To perpetuate the memory of our late member Alice Black, the club has introduced the ‘Alice Black Memorial Trophy’ to be contested each year on a perpetual basis.

TPS Skills Night – 27 February 2018
Our next TPS Skills Night is on next Tuesday, 27 February 2018 at 7:00pm. Our guest speaker on this night is Sid Owen from Owens Studio who will speak about studio portraiture.

TPS Field Day – Studio Shoot, 25 February 2018
The TPS Field Day for this month is a Studio Shoot with Sid Owen at Owen Studio, 169 James St, Toowoomba on Sunday, 25 February 2018 – between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.
This field day is limited to 15 club members at a cost of $5 each – to meet the cost of a model for the shoot. At the time of this post there remain 6 places – this shoot is aimed at beginners in studio photography.
