Apologies to all our members who attempted to participate in our 11 March 2025 Club and Aggregate Competition night via Zoom.
We were unable to access the internet at DeMolay House during the meeting. This prevented us from accessing Zoom and sharing the meeting and judging with our members via Zoom. It also meant that the judging was not recorded for this meeting.
Investigation of our internet account revealed that it had lapsed on the 9 March 2025. This has now been resolved and we should have no more internet access issues owing to an inactive internet account.
In addition, over the past few months the USB WiFi unit used to access the internet has been ‘flaky’ – periodically dropping in and out. A new USB WiFi adaptor has been purchased and successfully tested today. So we should have no more issues with internet access and our Zoom meetings from DeMolay House in the future. We should also be able to record these meetings and upload the recording to our website each month.
The other technical issues we are still having are:
- the camera used to transmit the view of our DeMolay meeting attendees via Zoom is not operational
- the colour of the HiSense Projector is not correctly displaying images
I’l continue investigating solutions to each of the issues.
