The Trans-Tasman Challenge Round 2 for 2024 is now open through until the 31 October 2024. In this round the set subject is “Street Photography”.

The Definition for Street Photography  – a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge. Street photographers do not necessarily have a social purpose in mind, but they prefer to isolate and capture moments which might otherwise go unnoticed.  The photograph can be either colour or monochrome.

The images for this challenge must be captured between the 1 September and 31 October 2024. TPS and Howick Photographic Society (HPS) will each submit 30 photos to the competition to be judged by two judges (neither members of TPS or HPS). As in previous competitions the maximum number of images from any one author is two.

TPS Members wanting their images considered for the entry in this challenge can submit up to four images into the 2H24 Trans-Tasman Entries 2024 collection accessible from the Members area of our website.
