The entries for our September 2017 competition are due, with the next club meeting on Tuesday, the 12th of September.

Please log in and upload the September competition images using the TPS MyPhotoClub website at www.tpsinc.org.au.  A video showing how to upload images is on the website here .  You must upload your images by Midnight Saturday 26th August.

Prints should be lodged with Murray’s Art & Framing, 485 Ruthven St by Midday Saturday 26th August.  You should also upload digital files of your prints to the website – this enables judging comments and scores to be assigned to prints and aggregate totals automatically calculated.  A video showing how to upload these digital copies of your prints is on the website here .  You must upload your images by Midnight Saturday 26th August

The two Set Subjects for September are “Creative” and “Recycled”.  The definitions for these set subjects are:

  1. Creative – Creative or experimental photographs display a novel effect because of an unusual combination of objects and /or unusual viewpoint.  Photographs in which the images have been modified during or after exposure by using an experimental technique are also eligible in Creative/Experimental sections.  The photograph must always have a basic photographic image.  Digital manipulation processes may be employed provided the original photograph was exposed by the entrant.
  2. Recycled – something that has been used before and then put through a process so that it can form a new product.

This, together with the Open & Field Day categories, should provide a challenge!  Note that there is a limit of 3 images in total per member per month.

Note the Maximum Image size that can be uploaded is 2000 pixels on the longest side, and a file size of 1000 kilobytes.  If your images do not meet these specifications they cannot be uploaded.  Name your files with the title of the image – there is no need to add details of the section being entered or your name (but please ensure you select the correct section for your uploaded images).

Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting. Good Luck!
