August Oakey Field Day Images
Hi All,
I would love to post some images from members of our Oakey Field day on the TPS Facebook / Instagram Pages. This would be a great way to show off the great images captured by our members and show people considering joining some of the things we get up to.
If you are happy for your images to be shared on our social media pages, please submit TWO of them via the following link:
https://toowoomba.myphotoclub.com.au/enter-a-collection/?collection_id=2591
All images used will have you listed down as the photographer.
Please don’t upload images you plan to use for the “Field Day” competition next month. Images uploaded here will not be scored, and do not go towards your end of year pointscores.

Camera Cleaning & Maintenance Resources
Last night Tryg went through the process on how to maintain and clean your camera equipment. He also performed sensor cleans on a number of members cameras to help reduce dust spots and “bunnies”.
We have compiled a list of tools that you may need to purchase if you wish to do this process yourself at home.
You can find a list at the following link (you must be a TPS financial member and be logged in to view this page): https://toowoomba.myphotoclub.com.au/camera-cleaning/

Change to Monthly Competitions
Hi All TPS Members.
I have negotiated with the MyPhotoClub website owner, and we have been able to increase image sizes for our monthly competitions to 5 megabytes. This will assist with issues identified around image compression causing certain artifacts / banding etc. Image dimensions remain the same at 2000px on the long edge.
Make sure from now on when exporting from lightroom / photoshop or any other application you may used to process your photos, that the image size can now be up to 5 megabytes in size. For further details on how to resize please refer to the PDF from our recent microskills session. (You must be logged in on MyPhotoClub to view this file) https://toowoomba.myphotoclub.com.au/wp-content/uploads/sites/111/2021/08/How-to-Size-an-Image.pdf
Please also take note, the blue button that says “Download File” will now contain a JPG file showing the definition of that months “Set Subject”. Please ensure you are familiar with the set subject definition as this is what the judges are provided to review the images against.
