The entries for our October 2017 competition are due, with the next club meeting on Tuesday, the 10th of October.

Please log in and upload the September competition images using the TPS MyPhotoClub website at www.tpsinc.org.au.  A video showing how to upload images is on the website here .  You must upload your images by Midnight Saturday 23rd September.

Prints should be lodged with Murray’s Art & Framing, 485 Ruthven St by Midday Saturday 23rd September.  You should also upload digital files of your prints to the website – this enables judging comments and scores to be assigned to prints and aggregate totals automatically calculated.  A video showing how to upload these digital copies of your prints is on the website here .  You must upload your images by Midnight Saturday 23rd September

The Set Subject for October is “Travel”.  The definition for this set subject is A photograph that captures the feeling of a time and place, and portrays a land, a people or a culture in its natural state.  Photo Travel has no geographical limitations.  Ultra close-ups which lose their identity, studio type model pictures or obviously manipulated work do not qualify as Photo Travel and should not be submitted.  Photo Travel is not limited to other lands or countries and may include pictures of domestic origin”.

This is the standard travel definition used in National and International competitions.

This, together with the Open & Field Day categories, should provide a challenge!  Note that there is a limit of 3 images in total per member per month.

Note the Maximum Image size that can be uploaded is 2000 pixels on the longest side, and a file size of 1000 kilobytes.  If your images do not meet these specifications they cannot be uploaded.  Name your files with the title of the image – there is no need to add details of the section being entered or your name (but please ensure you select the correct section for your uploaded images).

Also note that entries for November and December competitions are also open on the TPS website.

Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting. Good Luck!T
