Members and friends are invited to our monthly meeting and competition night – 7pm at DeMolay House on the second Tuesday of each month.
Prizes will be awarded to the winning photographers and the best Treasure Hunt group during the May monthly meetings. Photos taken on the day will also be displayed.
The Trans-Tasman Challenge judging for the set subject “Flowers” will take place on the 19th May 2024 at 6:30pm.
The Zoom link will be posted on our website on the 19th May 2024 for all to join in.
Elizabeth Passuello, FPSNZ, FNPSNZ, APSA, EPSA, EFIAP, GPU CR 1, APSEM is the Patron and a Life Member of the Greymouth Photography Club. A keen entrant in photography exhibitions both nationally and internationally, she enjoys a variety of photographic genres and has been quite successful in competition with nature, photojournalism and monochrome images.
An Accredited Judge of the Photographic Society of New Zealand, Elizabeth has volunteered her time judging for the last 29 years in photographic competitions and exhibitions in New Zealand, Australia and further afield. She also volunteers as a Star Ratings Director/Coordinator for the Photographic Society of America and as a Verifying Officer for the Australian Photographic Society.

Set Subject: Motion
Definition: Motion is the action or process of moving or being moved. In this set subject your aim is to communicate motion within a still image. There are several possible ways to capture motion – for example, blurring the subject with the background in focus, blurring the background with the subject in focus (panning), blurring the whole image, ‘chrono’ photography.
