Round 2 of the Trans-Tasman Challenge will open on the 1 September 2026. This round the Toowoomba Photographic Society has chosen the set subject which is “Typological Photography”. This is a subject you all are familiar with as it was our set subject for our monthly competition in August 2026.
The definition below has been provided to Howick Photographic Society.
“A collection of similar objects or subjects photographed using a consistent, repetitive style to highlight their similarities and differences. The objects usually displayed using a repetitive structure like a grid to present images that share a common connection, such as objects, people, or structures.”
A collection for images from members has been created on our MyPhotoClub website and it will open up for entries early on the 1 September 2026. Images captured for the set subject must be taken between the 1 September and 31 October 2026. You will be able to submit up to two images for this set subject (using the same image specifications as for our monthly competition – 3840px on the long side and up to 10Mb in size). We need to select 30 images overall for the judging (ideally from 30 different members). The judging night for this competition will be Sunday the 22 November 2026.
Looking forward to seeing your entries.
